Strange, Ineffective and Often Dangerous Impotence Cures Part-1

Through this series of posts I want to highlight and raise caution about some pretty strange and totally ineffective treatments for impotence (erectile dysfunction).
Impotence or ED is a very frustrating sexual condition for men and a lot of men are willing to try anything to get rid of this problem; and often end up not only splurging large amounts of money but also putting their health at risk.
The global erectile dysfunction treatment industry is a multi-billion dollar one and this lucrative industry has its share of unscrupulous companies and individuals who take advantage of both the ignorance and frustration of men suffering from impotence to peddle their so called cures and this is most prevalent in Asian countries.
One example is consuming Geckos in a pulverized and powdered form in countries like China, South Korea and Malaysia. Yes this reptile has the erroneous reputation of being able to cure not only impotence but also AIDS, cancer and asthma.
This is not at all proven scientifically and can put the health of the person who is consuming this powder at great risk. And besides it’s not cheap ( a 300 gram gecko sells for around US$ 1100.)
This poor nocturnal, wall climbing lizard is being hunted down and its population is decreasing in countries like Indonesia for no fault of his.
Stay tuned for some weirder and sometimes dangerous cures for impotence. And remember not to fall for such claims.
